The Backsberg philosophy is providing pleasure and enjoyment of fine wines. We are also pleased if we can help communities in need.

We have initiated a programme in conjunction with The Rotary Club in Paarl, South Africa, in order to support ShelterBox. Backsberg is donating 10% of any funds it receives from wines sold through the Backsberg ShelterBox E-Store to support ShelterBox in aiding people in need.  You can do this through the South African or European E-Store.

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity, specialising in emergency shelter provision. Humanitarian aid is delivered in iconic green ShelterBoxes. Each one contain a disaster relief tent for an extended family, water purification equipment, a stove, blankets and other items essential for survival. Learn more about ShelterBox.

    Kiddush Sweet Red 2011

    Raspberry and red plum aromas combined with succulent fruit flavours and finely coated tannins ensure a pleasurable drinking experience. Best enjoyed as an appertif before or after dinner. This wine has an ageing potential of 2 -20 years.
